No-one can play the great detective like Basil Rathbone his style and panache totally sum up Holmes what an actor. The movies are unique taking you back to the dark grimy streets during war torn London creating an atmosphere that is unique.

This is Sherlock Holmes! Rathbone, and his Watson, and Lestrade are so good that they should have never made another Holmes movie without these three.

'Course, I may say that 'cause I saw these when they first came out! But seriously, they are the best.

Fairly reminessant of the quality of the times...in the middle of thumbs up or down...just consider what they had to work with back then...probably could be better but it is watchable

What can i say, laurel and hardy would make millions if they were alive today. Been looking for this for years to add to my vast collection of the boys.
