I'm sorry you had some difficulty playing this file, and I'm also sorry I'm only just now seeing your comment! It's a basic Quicktime movie file, created on a Macintosh. I don't recall using any sort of exotic audio codec, though. Assuming you're using a Windows PC, you might want to try playing this in the Quicktime player that Apple makes for the PC, or use iTunes, if you're willing to install Apple's most annoying app.

Very interesting peak into a vast hobby that could easily be intimidating to a novice. Therefore, it's nice that the speaker gave some easy-going advice for beginners.
And those trains! Not to mention the terrain! Such realism is not easy to accomplish.
