Noisemaker is a road trip through the life and imaginative world of Jinx Lennon, one of Ireland's most singular and original musical talents. Combining the attitude of punk, the lyricism of folk and the hard-hitting rhythms of hip-hop, Lennon's work towers over that of most of his contemporaries for its lyrical and melodic dexterity, its social engagement and emotional depth. Yet he continues to hold down a full-time job as a hospital porter in his home town Dundalk and to tour the country quietly with his partner Paula Flynn, who possesses an extraordinary voice to match Lennon's extraordinary vision.

Described by musician Jack Lukeman as 'one of the great Irish artists' and by writer Pat McCabe as 'timeless in the way Dylan is timeless', Lennon is totally uncompromising in his musical approach and in his tackling of the psyche of modern Ireland. Noisemaker matches Lennon's kaleidoscopic vision with a film that combines the many colours of the fractured Irish psyche. Drug dealers, property developers, paramilitaries, novenas, street preachers, endless roads, nightcrawlers and taxi drivers are just some of the characters that feature as well as Steve Staunton, astronomy, archaeology, hospitals and handcarts.

Its channel-hopping and highly colourful approach flips between fly-on-the-wall studio sequences, music videos, interviews with fans including Pat McCabe, Jack Lukeman, Ray Darcy and David MacWilliams and specially set dance and fantasy sequences choreographed by leading choreograper James Hosty. It charts the recording of Lennon's third album 'Know your station Gouger Nation, Lennon's troubled life story and occasionally flips the channel for a few disturbing glimpses into Lennon's unique imaginative world.
