Very typical from Prokofieff, with very sweet or lyrical places alternating with violent or even brutal ones. Prokofieff, like he always does, uses here the violins to the maximum of their possibilities... and really gets it... A really great work which should be more generally known and played.
That was recorded in 1976 during a concert at Chantilly Castel.
