Black Eyed Dog (originally called Apathy) was originally meant as a leaving present for some friends of mine, but I have taken the film further, because it came out much better than I had hoped for. It looks at a character (Guy) who suffers from phonophobia (fear of talking or being talked to), and the frustration and anger that this can cause. Of course, being a horror film, there is also a killer in it as well! The killer is born out of this anger and frustration, and when his friend gets annoyed at him for being unable to socialise with him, this anger attacks and kills his friend. When he encounters this anger himself, he expects himself, and takes his own life. The film is never implicate about the exact mental disability (phonophobia), only showing the characters reaction, rather than the cause of it. On this level, it is a very personal film to me.
