Character Modeling for Games Video 2 – Basic 3ds Max Techniques
This is the second video in my series of video lessons teaching people how to create a video game character. This video deals with teaching the basics of 3ds Max. It goes over several of the techniques I use to create my base model. If you are already familiar with the basic tools and techniques of 3ds max then I’d suggest skipping over this tutorial, because it is the most boring of the series. This is for those who don’t know what I’m doing in the later videos. I can’t cover every basic technique, so some will be left out. The video is about 26 minutes.
The video was encoded using XviD, so you'll need the XviD codec to be able to play the video.
Hope you enjoy!

This guy is pretty good in modeling the human body, thank for doing this, it is very nice!
I wached your modeling video and there was like one or two things i couldnt get. But this explains it very well thanks.
Oh one big thing and you might want to make it later... Mudbox. I dont know that program very well and sense it kind of fits in the techniques of modeling your model, please take the time to explain that program and what you are doing. otherwise it makes a void in your explaining how you did things.
Thanks! keep up the good work!!
I saw your 3rd video and it was awesome! I downloaded 3Ds Max right after I saw it, but then I was trying to make my character and I couldn't! I swear, I pressed every single button you did and it still didn't come out as yours did. This video is going to help me out a lot! Thx man!
