This is the first video in my series of video lessons teaching people how to create a video game character. This video deals with the basics of coloring your concept art. This video is a bit over 10 minutes long, and will probably be the shortest video. The other videos will be released as time permits.

The video was encoded using XviD, so you'll need the XviD codec to be able to play the video.

Gettin back to traditional: Keifer ( 1 year ago on May 4, 2007 07:59 GMT); I know some might download this video and think that its not as good as the others. But he is explaining how to make a base to start on. This is VERY important in the overall process of making models for games or movies. Get back to traditional media and sketch a model you want to make on paper, scan it and colour it in. Now you have something to work off of. Instead of doing everything in your mind. This kind of workflow is crucial in getting hired by gaming (or film) companies and should not be overlooked.
He also mentions in one of the videos to keep looking at reference photos of the human structure and muscles. This too is good practice.
