Gossip began as a 3-piece
punk blues band originally from Arkansas. Their most recent release is PlayStanding in the Way of Control. They formed in 2000 in Olympia, WA and are now based in Portland, OR. They have opened for bands such as Sleater-Kinney and Le Tigre. The members are Beth Ditto (vocals), Brace Paine (guitar), and Hannah Blilie (drums), who replaced former drummer Kathy Mendonca. Kathy Mendonca left the band to become a midwife. -Lastfm
