In their website's own words: "Through the work of a team of American's and Iraqi correspondents on the ground, 'Alive in Baghdad' shows occupations through the voices of Iraqis. 'Alive in Baghdad' brings testimonies from individual Iraqis, footage of daily life in Iraq, and short news segments from Iraq to you."
In this segment, Merky, an English speaking Palestinian refugee living in Iraq tells his unique story of how he worked for the US Armed Forces as a translator, only later to be arrested without explanation, detained without explanation, and eventually sent to the now-infamous Abu Ghraib prison. He was eventually released and has spoken up about his experience. This is a very poignant and powerful interview.
