East Belgium Rally

The East Belgian Rally is the first rally of the Belgian Rally Championship 2008. After the first day Freddy Loix is in the lead in his brand new Peugeot 207 S2000. Loix is 1 min 35 sec ahead on good old Patrick Snijers. Snijers is very spectacular in his Porsche. In third there's Kurt Heckters in a Mitsubishi.

Kris Princen was the first leader in the rally. He was fastest on the first three stages but then crashed out the rally. " In a fast right corner we where surprised by a little jump in the road. We didn't noticed during practice that there was a jump. I lost control and the car rolled. It was over ... for the first day because the mecanics can fix the car so we can start on the second day. The Mitsubishi is a new car for me and it's important that I can drive with it for the knowledge in the next rallies. "
