We had a great breeding season this year with seven chicks hatched! These chicks stay with their parents until about five weeks of age, when they are then taken to our Avian Conservation Center for fish school where they learn to swim and eat. In the wild, Magellanic penguin parents abandon their chicks at this fledgling stage. This episode of Behind-the-Scenes plunges into the Zoo's fish school, enjoy!
