THE NATURAL GESTURE: Live Draw
Experience Live Art, an exploration and appreciation of the human form within context. Watch Artists render figure models live. Fundraiser for SMASH, Santa Monica Schools Liberal Arts programs sponsored by DCA Fine Art gallery.
This Live Art documentary was previously banned from this site for what was perceived as "explicit sexual content". If you actually take the time to watch the 13 minute piece, you'll realize there is no such content. This is merely an appreciation of the human figure as expressed through Art. Taboos on the subject are candidly and expressly addressed for the very reason that American society collaspses nudity with sex. I truly wish that the viewer who reported the original cut had taken a moment to reflect on this consideration. I would have also appreciated that the Vuze Team would have reported "your content has been banned due to full frontal nudity" as opposed to what they did report: "your content has been banned for sexual content", which is incorrect, and a rather blantant generalization when observing the natural human body. Given these considerations, I now upload a "censored' version that covers the frontal nudity, so as to not offend those who do find it offensive. This documentary was produced with the permission of all particpants. As is expressed by the models personally, they have no shame in their natural bodies and are happy to provide a muse for the Arts community and also raise money for awareness as well as good causes. That said, enjoy, be inspired, and thanks for watching!

"I liked what you are sayin' with it, it would be great to do away completely with that kind of profane perception of the human figure in art, as you've said it'd go a long way in helping us surpass obstructions to a greater understanding of ourselves -- I think.
I can remember the first time I drew from a nude model, first year in college (junior high/high school) many years ago... I was taking the course with a friend of mine and we were complete morons... we didn't know how to deal with it when confronted so we ended up giggling like prepubescent school girl at a slumber party... we were such compound fools... lol!!!"
