When we discovered that music, we were first seduced by it because it bore the same name as our daughter, born few month earlier... and my wife decided to include it in the few next concerts where it was recorded... It is a charming little piece... a real waltz to dance in a salon... Josef Lanner, maybe is a bit forgotten today, but however he in his youth was a close friend of Johann Straussß... both famous, made together the Wiener Waltz wat it became...
Very typically, it starts with an introduction (not a waltz) followed by a succession of waltzes of different characters, and ended with a brillant coda.
