Documentary tracing the story of the Islamic Moors and the society they ruled in Southern Spain for some seven hundred years. Looks at their society, buildings, and culture, and the hospitals and libraries they built, the latter containing many classical Greek texts. Also considers their advanced knowledge in the fields of medicine, mathematics and astronomy. Considers the effects of the aggressive re-Christianisation of Spain and how the Muslims and their culture were ruthlessly destroyed.
