Board Members
Mike Ramsay
Mike joined NEA in 2007 as a Venture Partner focusing on NEA's expanding consumer investing activities. Mike co-founded TiVo in 1997 and served as CEO and Chairman until 2005.
Prior to starting TiVo, Mike was Senior Vice President of the Silicon Desktop Group for Silicon Graphics (SGI). He had previously been President of Silicon Studio, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Silicon Graphics focused on enabling applications development for merging interactive digital media markets.
Prior to SGI, Mike held R&D and engineering management positions at Hewlett-Packard and Convergent Technologies and earned a first-class B.S.E.E. from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
Chris Moore
Chris is a Partner with Redpoint Ventures focusing on consumer Internet, online marketing, and business services opportunities. Prior to joining Redpoint, Chris evaluated Internet opportunities for IVP, a firm he joined in 1999. He currently serves on the board of directors of Right Media, and is actively involved with Redpoint's investments in Efficient Frontier, MySpace, and Oodle.
Prior to joining IVP, Chris led business development efforts for wine.com, the online wine retailer, and held various product management positions with Peapod, the pioneering online grocery shopping service provider. Previously, Chris evaluated and executed Internet and media investments for Ameritech. He began his career as a financial analyst in the mergers and acquisitions and leveraged buyout groups of Wasserstein Perella & Co.
Chris holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Mathias Schilling
Mathias Schilling is a co-founder and Partner at BV Capital. He leads the US office and focuses on consumer media and wireless services. He represents BV Capital on the board of Angieslist, Appfolio, publicly traded Hi-Media (HIMD.PA), Peerflix, Sonim Technologies, Vuze.com and Yume Networks and led investments in epinions (Shopping.com), experteer and Sonos.
Prior to BV Capital, he was a Partner at Bertelsmann Ventures, where he was a board member of several portfolio companies and contributed to the successful exits of eGroups, Nuvomedia and Expertcity. Previously, Mathias was with Bertelsmann AG in their Strategic New Ventures group, working on the negotiation and execution of several joint-venture and M&A transactions. Previous work experience also include Bertelsmann's Publishing Group in New York as well as the management consultancy firm Roland Berger & Partner in Paris.
He received his Master's degree in Finance from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
Jarl Mohn
Jarl, also known as Lee Masters, was Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Digital, Inc., a publicly traded company focused in interactive television, cable television networks, and Internet enterprises. He served as its CEO from June 1999 to March 2002. Prior to Liberty Digital, he was founding president and CEO of E! Entertainment Television. From 1986 to 1989, Jarl was executive vice president and general manager of MTV and VH1. He began his professional life with a 20-year career in radio.
Jarl currently serves as Chairman of the board of CNET Networks and has served on the boards of E.W. Scripps Company, DMX Music, Liberty Digital, and LodgeNet Entertainment Corporation. He is also a trustee of numerous nonprofit organizations.
Gilles BianRosa
Gilles is the Chief Executive Officer of Vuze, Inc. As CEO, Gilles is driving the evolution of the company from the popular, award-winning peer-2-peer application to a distribution and exchange platform for High Definition digital media.
Prior to Vuze, Gilles was with McKinsey and Company in Palo Alto, California, where he led mission-critical initiatives related to product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies for venture-backed and "academy" technology companies including Microsoft, HP, BEA, SAP. Prior to McKinsey, Gilles was instrumental in the launch of Vivendi's media and services Internet platform for health professionals. Early in his career, Gilles founded MileStone, a software company serving the retail industry.
Gilles holds a MS in Computer Science from EPITA School of Engineering in Paris, and an MBA from Harvard University in Boston.
Olivier Chalouhi
Olivier is the CTO of Vuze Inc. After graduating from the French Aeronautical and Space school Supaero in Toulouse, Olivier held various project management positions in the software industry working closely with partners such as Orange MIB and IBM. In June 2003, he initiated the Open Source project Azureus.
Today, the Azureus software has been downloaded more than 140 million times, consistently earning it the rank as most active project on the global open source repository Sourceforge, where it was also elected "Project of the month" in August 2004, and "Best Overall Project" during the 2006 SourceForge community awards.
