On the Future of the Internet

Throttling? Network management? Open Internet? The future of the Internet is being decided now. What do you think?

In November 2007, Vuze filed a petition for rulemaking with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission to urge the FCC to adopt regulations limiting Internet traffic throttling, a practice by which Internet service providers block or slow the speed at which Internet traffic flows for certain users.

The Vuze petition led to an FCC hearing February 25th in Boston (video) on broadband network management practices. After testifiying at the hearing, Vuze CEO Gilles BianRosa summed up the experience in a post on the Vuze blog. And Vuze users have posted their thoughts in the FCC Testimony channel.

  2. Follow the upload steps, and remember to put your video in the "FCC Testimony" category. That's it; you're done! But don't forget to spread the word! The more people speak out, the better.
